PEACE AID
The Day Music Created Peace on Earth
PEACE AID harnesses music’s unifying power to activate humanity’s will for peace.
In 1985, Live Aid united nearly 2 billion people through the power of music. In 1986, the First Earth Run engaged a billion people in passing a torch of peace around the world. Both were unprecedented acts of planetary unity.
Now, Rick Lukens, International Director of Live Aid, and David Gershon, creator of the First Earth Run, have joined forces to create PEACE AID.
How PEACE AID Works
1. Each year on Peace Day weekend (2026–2030), musicians across all genres are invited to integrate the theme of peace into their performances.
2. Concerts take place worldwide from major venues to intimate home gatherings.
3. Musicians and their audiences come together to celebrate and create Peace on Earth.
4. Musicians invite their fans to participate in a shared Peace Action: “Befriending Another.”
5. This simple yet powerful act transforms listeners into participants, fostering connection and global unity.
A Unified Experience
PEACE AID brings together artists and audiences across:
- Cultures
- Countries
- Ethnicities
- Religions
- Generations
A Bold Peace Goal
Beginning Peace Day Weekend (Sept 18-20, 2026), participating artists invite their audiences to take part in a shared peace action:
- 2026: PEACE AID launch
- 2027: Befriend 1 billion people
- Each year: Double participation
- 2030: Reach 8 billion acts of connection (every person on earth)
This exponential goal activates humanity’s capacity for collective action.
Global Pulse
PEACE AID will make visible humanity’s will to create Peace on Earth.
